Google Play review tracker that
runs while you sleep

A Google Play review tracker automatically imports Android app reviews from the Play Store into your dashboard. AppTriage connects via a Service Account, syncs hourly, and lets you reply, tag, and triage — all from one inbox.

Setup

Connect once,
import forever

Google Play reviews are imported via a Service Account — the same secure method Google recommends for server-to-server API access. No passwords, no OAuth popups.

1

Create a Service Account in Google Cloud Console

Go to console.cloud.google.com, create a project, and generate a Service Account with a JSON key.

2

Grant it access in Google Play Console

Invite the Service Account email to your Google Play Console with "View app information and download bulk reports" permission.

3

Upload the JSON key to AppTriage

Paste or upload the key in your app settings. Encrypted at rest with Fernet (AES-128-CBC).

4

Reviews start importing automatically

Within the hour, Google Play reviews appear in your inbox with full metadata.

  • Hourly sync — every new review, every language
  • Star ratings preserved with full review text
  • Reviewer name, device model, and app version

Actions

Reply, tag, and track —
from one inbox

Google Play developer reviews don't have to live in the Play Console. Bring them into AppTriage and manage everything from a single review management inbox.

  • Reply to Google Play reviews directly — response posts to the store
  • AI auto-categorization: bug, feature request, praise, complaint
  • Custom tags and status workflow (open, in progress, resolved)
  • Export to CSV or JSON for external analysis
  • Slack and Discord webhook alerts for low ratings

Cross-platform

App Store and Google Play —
one inbox

AppTriage is the only inbox where both platforms live side by side. No switching between App Store Connect and Google Play Console. Filter by platform, or see everything together.

If you ship on both iOS and Android, you need one place to read, reply, and prioritize. That's what the combined inbox is built for. Connect App Store and Google Play in minutes.

You can also collect feedback via an in-app feedback form or a website widget — everything lands in the same inbox.

Common questions

Everything about the Google Play review tracker. Can't find an answer?

Get in touch
Is the Google Play review tracker free?
Yes. The free plan includes 1 app, 100 reviews per month, hourly sync, and email replies. No credit card required. No trial that expires. If you need more apps or higher volume, Pro starts at $19/month. For a detailed breakdown, see how we compare to Appfigures.
How do I connect Google Play?
Create a Service Account in Google Cloud Console, grant it access to your app in Google Play Console, then upload the JSON key in AppTriage. The whole process takes about 5 minutes. Your key is encrypted at rest and never logged.
How often are reviews imported?
Hourly on Free and Pro plans. Every 15 minutes on Business. New reviews appear in your inbox automatically — no manual refresh needed. We import the most recent reviews on first connect, then check for new ones on schedule.
Can I reply to Google Play reviews from AppTriage?
Yes. Your reply is posted directly to Google Play via the API. Google Play allows developer responses up to 350 characters. You compose and send the reply from your AppTriage inbox — no need to open the Play Console.
Does it work with App Store too?
Yes. AppTriage supports both App Store and Google Play in the same inbox. You can filter by platform or see everything together. Connect both via their respective API keys and manage all your cross-platform reviews from one place.
What data is imported from Google Play?
Star rating, review text, reviewer name, review language, device model, app version, and timestamp. We also auto-tag sentiment (positive, negative, neutral) so you can filter and prioritize. All data is pulled via the official Google Play Developer API — no scraping.
